- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- The beautiful and newly renovated Inwood Hill Park Nature Center is only open to the public for a few hours on weekends. Apparently this is only due to a lack of funds for staffing. In addition, the facilities are a unique and valuable facility that could be more actively used by local community groups, such as Friends of Inwood Hill Park and Inwood Butterfly Sanctuary to conduct habitat restoration efforts, which are not possible without access on a more regular basis.
- What is the solution to the challenge?
- Hire more staff and increase the hours open to the public. Give access to the outer compound for habitat restoration and endangered species conservation staging area. \nPartner with Inwood Butterfly Sanctuary and Friends of Inwood Hill Park.
