- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- Brooklyn neighborhoods face a significant challenge in collecting meaningful community feedback to improve local programs, services, and infrastructure. Existing methods often suffer from low participation due to a lack of awareness, trust, and incentives. This results in a gap between community needs and the city’s ability to address them effectively.
- What is the solution to the challenge?
- We propose developing a survey platform designed to reward NYC residents, particularly in Brooklyn, for their feedback on city projects, programs, and services. Residents can complete surveys anonymously and earn digital cash directly upon completion, ensuring privacy and inclusivity. City agencies and organizations can easily create and share surveys via QR codes, digital screens, brochures, and other community outreach methods. This platform will provide a streamlined and secure way to collect high-quality feedback while fostering engagement and trust. By rewarding participants, we empower New Yorkers to contribute to making their neighborhoods better while ensuring the city gains actionable insights to improve its services. This initiative underscores that data is a human right and ensures that residents benefit from participating in shaping their community's future.
