The proposed proejct will give the knowledge of 500 food items to all the students in school in the district. Providing knowledge about food to students will help them eat better. When they eat better, their health will be better. We provide every student in the district with a dinner place mate. The mat will have 100 fruits and vegetable pictures and information 50 on each side. Further, it will have a QR code to scan and get information about 500 food items from a central place. We will encourage the students to participate in a game called FOODPARDY, along the same lines as Jeopardy. Every month there will be prizes and every quarter the toppers of the quarter will play on local TV. The knowledge given to children will also flow into the family, and as a whole, the people in the district can benefit. The dinner placemats can have the district leader logos, photos, contact information for better communication. The proejct is needed to increase the student’s health, and the secondary benefit will be adults in the district. The proejct will increase healthy food consumption. Eventually, it will see a significant change in the health of several thousands of students.
