Community Resource Center
What problem would you like to solve?
Lack of educational enrichment as well as arts & cultural activities for youth, adults, immigrants and seniors
Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?
Our community youth and others are in need of quality educational opportunities to be better prepared for the future. Youth tutorial services, basic adult educational services - GED, English as a Second Language, basic computer training, citizenship, etc. may help change the trajectory of low income families and others. Helps people connect. People who feel connected behave better...creates safe spaces.
What idea do you have to address the problem?
Build a partnership...with higher educational institutions, rent local middle school Tri-Community 231 School Complex for a Saturday academy
Who would that help?
Youth students of all ages, college students (Community service hours), immigrant adults, low income adults, seniors and others
What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?
Springfield Gardens, primarily South of Conduit Avenue
