To be able to provide (access) advance technological training to residents in our community (within walking distance) would financially improve their quality of life.</p><p><strong>Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community? </strong></p><p>Education is the most effective way to tackle poverty in our community. It is important for our residents to have options as well as low cost/affordable/ scholarship based access to future technological training and/or apprenticeship opportunities. It may help improve current financial, housing , etc. circumstances and other growth opportunities.</p><p><strong>What idea do you have to address the problem?</strong></p><p>A collaborative effort between Private entities + College/University + CBO to provide a few 12 to 18 month computer training sessions in programming, coding, security, etc. offered during the days, evenings and weekends.</p><p><strong>Who would that help?</strong></p><p>Career changers, recent high school graduates would could not afford to attend college immediately, seniors who want to keep theirs skills sharp and/or choose to give back; immigrants/undocumented, housing challenged, newly discharged veterans, previously incarcerated and others.</p><p><strong>What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?</strong></p><p>Springfield Gardens, primarily, South of Conduit Avenue</p>"},"title":{"en":"Promising Futures for All"}}
