    The lack of senior wellness programs and activities in the Upper Manhattan area, specifically within the Parks Department Recreation Centers.

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    Senior wellness is often overlooked in many communities. Becoming a senior, I am very well aware of the benefits I experienced when I participated in an exercise class that has since been discontinued.

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    Fund trainers with experience in senior health issues that can address them specifically through exercise and mental health programs.

    Who would that help?

    It would help the million of seniors specifically in the Upper Manhattan area. I would allow senior that are isolated to participate and enjoy other seniors.

    What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

    I would like to specifically target the Upper Manhattan area and the Highbridge Recreation Center.
