Your Money, Your Community, Your Voice.
Clean Comedy Initiative
What problem would you like to solve?
Social media has led to an increase in a lack of communication skills among youth. As one of the last professions that cannot be learned on YouTube, teaching youth the importance of public speaking via clean comedy will restore youth mental health.
Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?
A youth that can communicate a message is a confident, eloquent, and employable person. This can solve not just youth and young employment, but it can also create the potential for future leaders who can communicate a message to potential funders.
What idea do you have to address the problem?
Teaching first how to overcome the fear of public speaking. Then teaching said youth an actual three-joke routine to perform in front of an audience.
Who would that help?
It would help both students and teachers as it will develop confidence in students to engage in more activities that require presenting and public speaking.
What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?
South Ozone Park
