Community Criminal Watch Network-CCW
What problem would you like to solve?
I want to solve the lack of care, awareness of self-protection rights and rehabilitation for victims who have been traumatized from a criminal act, then have to be subjected to go through brutal methods by agencies policies that supposed to protect a person's rights and be respected. Instead, the long process of filing an assault report, conviction process might humiliate the victim and built-up fears. i.e. domestic violence, rape, robbery, physical abuse, human or sex trafficking Citywide.
Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?
CCW Network would be a space to build new bridges with law enforcement, private corporations, community leaders and politicians who believe in reducing crime by exposing the criminal and empowering the survivor. These relationships can empower victims with skills, awareness facts regarding our NYS laws and mental self-care. It is relevant to have a strong and involved community that protect themselves and their neighbors without fear. It is to protect the community by knowing who the criminals that were identified, by staying informed as a CCW member via app., and partner with judges who are willing to change laws to protect victims from their attacker(s) but need signed petitions to move forward.
What idea do you have to address the problem?
Partnership with Citywide agencies, to post in every borough a CCW warning posters on every block or bus & trains, cable stations & commercials. Buildup a data base with basic information and anonymous tips. Develop a safe space for victims willing to speak about their story as a survivor. Officials revisit sentenced criminal jail time to find out if reform is better than jail time or they choice to continue to destroy families' lives? Develop citywide a safe haven that provides an escape space for mental balance. Speakers from the Police Department speak about unsafe locations, statistics and facts. I am an independent distributor of a personnel safety company who provides protection skills, and awareness. Partnering with safe defense organizations.
Who would that help?
This will help the broken-hearted person who have been traumatized, stressed, suicidal, mentally beat down by society without hope or dignity from a justice system that failed him/her.
What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?
Citywide
