Mental Health for Youth
What problem would you like to solve?
Young adults develop depression, anxiety and stress, yet they do not know how to speak about it or treat it.
Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?
To teach youth coping skills and tools to handle mental health obstacles in creative and active ways.
What idea do you have to address the problem?
Youth program focused on mental health, but built around activities such as sports, art, and therapy. This way, the teen does not think he/she/they are entering a "mental health" program, but a creative and active group. No mental health labels, so they can feel they can express themselves more fully.
Who would that help?
Youth - 15 to 20 year olds.
What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?
Queens
