    What problem would you like to solve?

    Citizens involved in and impacted by violence.

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    It is important because there should be programs for YOUTH involved in violence and crime to bring real change to their life and motivate them to do better and be peace advocates rather suspensions and making them more aggressive.

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    The program should provide valuable tools to youth and families who have been impacted by violence in order for them to stay in school and out of the criminal justice system. It should provide programs and other holistic approaches to reinforce self-esteem and respect for life among one another, as well as connect and mobilize youth in New York City's most underserved communities to prevent and heal from violence. We could provide them with services like educational support, workforce development, safety, mindfulness training, and nutritional support. This vision could add generational wealth instead of generational trauma. No soul is born with ideas of killing and theft it's just the circumstances and influence that lead them to those options.

    Who would that help?

    It will positively effect the community of New York and help people who were formerly a part of the problem in our community and give them opportunities and decent livable wages so they can be actually part of real change.
