    What problem would you like to solve?

    The problem I would like to solve is increasing more opportunities for our seniors (and youth) to participate in the arts for therapy, well-being, stress reduction. Working in a senior center I have learned that art workshops are limited to one hour a week. More hours are needed!

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    It is important for our seniors (and kids) to have access to group interaction, creative thinking, and building self-esteem (as we age we also can feel bad about ourselves and art helps to express ourselves)

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    My idea is to use our program and make it available to the department on aging, senior center, and afterschool programs that will help with keeping programs available for the entire community to engage in much needed programming and resources.

    Who would that help?

    It will help our seniors health and entire families with grater access to arts and culture. It will also help create jobs for artists and musicians!

    What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?
