    What problem would you like to solve?

    Community homelessness among undocumented immigrants and local residents adds to the trash found in the streets of our neighborhoods

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    Our youth center was vandalized and taken over by Homeless, unemployed, and undocumented local residents. This created the problems of lack of general safety and caused fear in the community.

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    Fund neighborhood specific outreach worker for a local community based drop-in centers that offer housing support, food, and clothing. Also, fund someone that can clean up and repair spaces vandalized by homeless individuals. Add trash cans in local communities and have DSNY empty them regularly.

    Youth, adults, immigrants, the homeless, all local residents
