    What problem would you like to solve?

    We need to empower students and the community to create their own healthy places to live and learn. There is high food insecurity and many children who are homeless who attend this school.

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    Everyone deserves fresh fruits and vegetables and to lead a healthy life. If that is not available in the neighborhood, then let the school community create it with Seeds in the Middle. This is an area with high rates of diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other preventable diseases tied to malnutrition.

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    Seeds in the Middle will help the school train student Hip2B Healthy ambassadors and help the community build their own farm stand, market, healthy cooking and cafe and fresh food and programs to ensure everyone can get affordable, nearby fresh fruits and vegetables.

    The entire school community and the neighbborhood
