Therapy, PTSD Counseling postpartum depression counseling for young mothers, girls, and women in the community, will be a prime program to ensure sustainable solutions to the problems and issues affecting vulnerable and minority Women and young girls. The Service Center will be collaborating with a wide network of professional volunteers and service providers from different areas of specialization that are passionate in community services, to help in alleviating the lives of vulnerable and minority groups. This collaboration is also intended to assist in the formulation and implementation of the different programs targeted at different groups and populations in the communities in which we will be operating. Some of the dominant problems among many that are persistent in our neighborhood are mental health relative to healthcare, both of which are under-addressed. For example, among expectant and new mothers, there has been a notable increase in the incidence rate and prevalence of pre-natal and post-natal depression, exacerbated by unemployment or underemployment, and a lack of effective social support systems.
