I would like to create a project that ensures that all students are taken care of by their school communities by expanding resources that cater to students of every and all abilities.</p><p><strong>Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community? </strong></p><p>Personally, this is important to me because I have a close friend who has suffered in a school (middle school) that was supposed to have a adequate inclusion program for those with autism and special needs. Ensuring that there are proper services to assist those with special needs creates a fair standard and shows an overall commitment to education fro everyone.</p><p><strong>What idea do you have to address the problem?</strong></p><ul><li>Increase the budget for special needs services in specialized schools and inclusive schools</li><li>Hire professionally trained staff (aids, counselors)</li><li>Conduct check-ins to make sure resources are used properly</li></ul><p><strong>Who would that help?</strong></p><p>This would assist students of all ages who have specialized needs and their families</p><p><strong>What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?</strong></p><p>Queens</p>"},"title":{"en":"Equal Opportunities in Education Initiative"}}
