Taskforce on Racial Inclusion & Equity (TRIE) Coalition
#triecoalition community-based organizations who help deliver essential services to residents
Instructions and Introduction
In the next phase of TRIE coalition building, we will begin a resident survey to prioritize issues/problems that your neighborhood would like to see funded (based on the data collected from Polis). After TNCs receive their individualized data from their neighborhoods, they will develop proposals alongside their coalition members and residents. These proposals will be vetted and placed on a ballot in early December.

Neighborhood Survey (Community Survey)
We ask that you:
- Send out the survey to residents you serve | TRIE Neighborhood Survey
- Request that your neighborhood coalition members also send out the survey to residents that they serve
- The deadline to fill out the survey is October 15. You can use materials from the social media toolkit elaborated by the CEC. Access the social media toolkit here
Paper Survey version: If you wish to administer the survey using a paper version and/or in another additional language (besides Spanish) please reach out to deras@civicengagement.nyc.gov in order to coordinate logistics.
Following the survey, each coalition will identify the most voted on issue and develop 3 proposals based on that issue. We will discuss more about proposal development in our monthly TRIE September meeting. Residents in your community will be invited to vote on the proposals. The proposal with the most votes will be the one you will implement for your neighborhood. Each neighborhood will receive $40,000 to implement the winning proposal.
