The People's Money is New York City's annual citywide Participatory Budgeting (PB) initiative where community members decide how to spend part of the city's budget. Every year New Yorkers vote to decide what projects to implement in their communities.

Project Implementation (2022-23)
The 2022-23 cycle is now in Phase 4: Project Implementation! The CEC is working closely with contracted partners to implement funded projects over the course of the year to ensure they are supported, projects are effectively monitored, and are completed successfully. As partners are selected, they will be added to this site where New Yorkers can follow the progress of projects being implemented in their communities.

The Civic Engagement Commission was established by the voters of New York City as part of an amendment to the City Charter adopted in 2018. The Commission's mission is to enhance civic participation, promote civic trust, and strengthen democracy in New York City.
