Build-A-Bench; Paint-A-Bench

In preparation and support of the Open Streets 2022 initiatives at both Saratoga Park and Tompkins Avenue in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, young people will help build and paint benches around trees lots in front of designated businesses and repaint benches in Saratoga Park. This project will provide extra seating areas on the commercial corridors and support the beautification efforts at the park.

I love this idea especially that adults can’t go into parks without a child. This will also help the elderly n disabled who have hard time walking or standing.
Love the beautification with the bright colors and designs to slow life's pace and help bring peace and tranquility to our lives in the neighborhood.
Tompkins can use more seating to engagement community engagement and interaction with outdoor programming like TAMA Fest
