Project Description:
Gen Z for NYC is a youth-led afterschool virtual space for young people ages 10 to 24 who aim to alleviate some of the fatigue and alienation caused by the Covid-19 restrictions. Our project will offer a safe space for young people to explore familiar topics as well as new experiences through interactive chats, recorded programs, fun games, tutoring, DIY [Do it yourself] and DIWU [Do it with us] workshops.
Gen Z for NYC curates projects and activities that are youth-driven and youth influenced. In Gen Z for NYC, participants have a voice to make decisions that serve them best. Gen Z for NYC includes staff and participants who are artistic and passionate to help youth reach their full potential.
What Youth are Saying about the organization: Participants have stated that "it is refreshing to be able to influence decisions for youth and have a creative space to showcase talent".
