An Opportunity For All
Organization: Little Sprouts Preschool
Project Name: An Opportunity For All
Project ID: 165
Neighborhood/Communities that the project will serve: CB Brooklyn 13 (Coney Island)
Borough: Brooklyn
Project Description: An Opportunity For All” will offer different outlets for youth, ages 10-18 to express themselves, have fun while connecting with others of the same age and unwind. The main goal of the program is for youth to have a place outside of their home they can come to and speak about what is bothering them and find the support in others who can empathize and sympathize. Our proposal will directly benefit youth because we will be giving back to the community. It will be a support program in which children will be given the opportunity to socialize, voice their thoughts and opinions while feeling valued and appreciated.
We believe youth voters should pick our project on the ballot because we want you all to be heard and given the support needed to help you deal with the emotions and stress you are experiencing during this time.
Mental health is a very important topic and issue in today's world for our youth because it is seen as a "taboo". An Opportunity For All is a program we hold dear to our hearts because we want to extend our arms out in order to help our community and our youths. We want to be able to provide them with the help they are asking for and show they are being heard and supported.
What Youth are saying about the organization: Youth participants from our organization have said they love attending our school and working with us because it brings them happiness. It gives them a sense of belonging and a place where they can be themselves.
