Project Description: Just As I Am YOUth Empowerment intends to offer internship opportunities and experiential workshops for youth in mental wellness and healing justice education, leadership , personal development and mindfulness skills. These interns will receive stipends as they design and create social media campaigns and an adult/youth conference to elevate youth voices in their communities.

Our proposal directly benefits youth by offering them leadership experiences; platforms for teaching their peers and expressing their needs to significant adults in their lives. They will receive mental health support, create a wellness hub of a variety of healing professionals of their choice while receiving life coaching to support them in planning for their future.

Picking this project is an important step towards involving YOUth in creating healthy and successful teen and young adult lives. Interning with JAIA will give you lasting personal development and leadership skills while you experience your own healing and plant the seeds for personal and social change.
