- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- About a decade ago, the image of New York City as a peaceful place full of generous people and significant cultural, social, economic, and political initiatives was overshadowed by sensationalism, crime news, unfounded statements, and \"hot news\" that misinforms and disturbs. “Bad” news has overshadowed the face of the city. If we take the pulse of what \"happens in New York\" based on what is broadcasted, we might conclude that we live in a constant state of war and aggression.
- What is the solution to the challenge?
- In response to this reality, we have decided to organize a social mobilization activity that allows us to reverse the constant bombardment of negativity with positive news, social initiatives, and everyday stories that reflect solidarity. This includes the serious, affectionate, and intangible aspects that flourish on any corner of New York, the heart city.
