- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- Sat Nov 16 2024 10:16am Years ago, I remember seeing an ambulance having difficulty recognizing the particular number to a house in order to identify the correct address. The time wasted because the numbers on buildings are not big enough or clear enough to see is enough delay to cause the death of an individual. Time, seconds is a matter of life and death in that particular situation. All building structures, houses, stores must be numbered with no less than 7 inches high by 3 inches wide numerals and they must be displayed conspicuously. In addition, at sundown, all numerals/signage must be luminated.
- What is the solution to the challenge?
- Considering every second counts toward whether someone lives or dies when First Responders are trying to ascertain the correct building/ house number(s ). I propose that every dwelling/ residence, and commercial structure is mandated to have conspicuously placed numerals 5-7 inches high and 3 inches wide and at sundown illuminated. During the daytime the number should be very visible and in the night time it should be illuminated, so First Responders can see the address numbers easily. This I know will reduce time delays for First Responders and potentially save many lives. I have recently become aware that there is a law already in place for this. However, unfortunately it is not being enforced. This under enforcement has led to grave results. Greater enforcement is needed to ensure every building, house, store, and commercial property has these numbers big enough, clear enough, and illuminated at night. Everything is fun and games until EMS or the Fire Department cannot find your home in time. Karl Beecher www.wmca.com www.klove.com www.familyradiocom www.Biblecom best Bible app ever 😊
