Connectivity Program for Seniors
Bringing together youth and seniors in East Elmhurst and Corona, this program builds intergenerational connections through shared activities, mentorship, and community support, bridging generations.
Our organization will connect youth and seniors through intergenerational activities. We’ll facilitate shared experiences like technology workshops, storytelling, and cultural events, fostering mentorship and reducing isolation among seniors. By providing support and transportation, we’ll ensure accessibility and engagement for all participants.
This project is an extension of our commitment to these communities; we are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between youth and seniors by leveraging our deep local partnerships, cultural competency, and understanding of community needs. Through mentorship and engagement, we’ll aim reduce isolation among seniors.
This project will reduce isolation and build meaningful connections for immigrant seniors and youth in East Elmhurst and Corona, fostering empathy, cultural exchange, and mutual support. It addresses social barriers, empowers seniors with companionship and resources, and strengthens community bonds by bridging generations and celebrating diversity
We are excited to see the meaningful friendships and mentorships that develop between youth and seniors, creating a vibrant intergenerational community. We look forward to witnessing the transformative impact of these connections as seniors gain confidence and companionship while youth learn valuable life lessons and cultural insights.
