- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- The Sunset Park Courthouse was used by the Brooklyn Public Library as an interim library while rebuilding the Sunset Park branch a few blocks away. Converting the now vacated interim library would bring a community center to a neighborhood desperate for resources. It can house city-funded programs including ELL classes, senior programming, after school programming, job training classes, workshops, and so much more.
- Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
- Provide funding to a local nonprofit to study the feasibility and possible funding of the new Courthouse Community Center.
- Write the zipcode that best represents your New York City community:
- 11220
