- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- In the area there are many schools in the area and during afterschool time there are always kids hanging around outside. It would be a great idea to invest in enrichment programs for high school kids in the area that prep them for post graduation and teach soft skills helpful for the work field.
- Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
- We should invest in programs that surround both the technical and humanitarian fields catering to students with a range of interest. STEM, social justice awareness, leadership training, marketing/graphic design, writing development and more. This helps build students future and allow them to have an array of fields to enter and have experience in once they graduate high school. These programs should partner with organizations based in these fields that can later offer students internships to further allow them to gain experience and ensure career success. Giving students programs and interest to be involved in leads them to hanging around the neighborhood involving themselves in possible trouble and furthers their future success.
