- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- In all of queens there are only 2 easily accessible public tracks non of which are anywhere near the Whitestone or fresh meadows area. More and more people join the sport of running each and every year and yet it is very unsupported with the only notable tracks being in Astoria and Roy Wilkins track. St Francis Preparatory and other neighboring schools also do not have access to land for tracks to support their sports teams
- Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
- Cunningham is a massive and beautiful park that has a lot of potential. Specifically on 73rd ave there are 4 plots of baseball fields with 15 individual fields just one of these plots could be used to place a full standard 400 meter track. I am a member of the boy scouts and would help in anyway that we can for this project.
- Write the zipcode that best represents your New York City community:
- 11365
