- Describe the challenge you want to address:
- Shirley Chisholm Park at the end of East New York and the beginning of Queens off the Belt Parkway, needs to look like a park. Right now, it looks like a. piece of wetland with a bike lane, bikes, wild weeds, parking spaces for cars with some branches. What I see is far from being called a park. Just opposite of the SC Park is the Highland Park with a children play area, real bathrooms, bike lanes, picnic and BBQ areas, benches, trees, water fountain, bird life, and grass.
- Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
- Animals of endangered species and wild life alike to enhance the ecosystem since SC Park is in a body of water. Adding flowers, trees, brushes, and a children's play area for starters would definitely help welcome more people.
