- Immigrant families become divided when first generation American educated college students live/socialize differently from what is known/taught culturally by the parents and grandparents.
- Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
- 3-Fold program will include programs & services for parents and family members of the first generation college students to help both student and family understand the differences and the challenges; including translators to help compare the "old country" with the " new country". Also provide affordable gyms and spaces for youth 18 years and under to get physically fit.
