Why is it relevant for the community? </strong></p><p>These long-term health issues tend to disproportionately affect low-income people of color, including many residents of Sunset Park. As everyone at AMPHS knows, many immigrants have a particularly hard time navigating the healthcare system because of low English proficiency, cultural differences, and immigration status.</p><p><strong>What idea do you have to address the problem?</strong></p><p>I think we should fund a program to provide monthly free health screening events for community members in Sunset Park. AMPHS already provides quarterly events like this, but it would be great to get funding to increase our capacity to host more regular screening events.</p><p><strong>Who would that help?</strong></p><p>It would benefit all attendees of the screening event, but particularly those at highest risk of developing long-term health problems.</p><p><strong>What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?</strong></p><p>Sunset Park</p>"},"title":{"en":"Health Screenings Program"}}
