    I would like to solve food insecurity.

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    The Bronx ranks 62 out of 62 counties in terms of health outcomes. Food insecurity is a major problem in our community and it is linked to high rates of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    I would like to solve food insecurity by providing funding to expand the health bucks program so that more residents have access to purchase food from farmers markets and to provide a stipend to organizations to provide the minimal tools needed to organize walking groups to local parks and markets in the Bronx.

    Who would that help?

    This will help all Bronx residents of all ages.
