    What problem would you like to solve?

    With rent at an all-time high as well as inflation pricing on food, goods, and services, families' budgets for vacations are nonexistent. Their local playgrounds become their families summer vacations.

    Investing in programming at local playgrounds: 1) gives families a place to go, should their child not receive a summer camp placement 2) provides continued enrichment decreasing the summer slide for younger children 3) stimulates speech and social skills which the pandemic has affected 4) employs more teens through DYDC

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    Some of the families who would most benefit have no funds for enrichment, vacations, or travel, and spend most of their time at their local playground.

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    Allocate funds to local orgs to set-up at school yards and playgrounds.

    Who would that help?

    Our most vulnerable families.
