How do Assembly Committees work?
- Every Borough has an assembly committee. To become a member you can apply through this Borough Assembly application and your name will be entered into the process and randomly selected to try and match the demographics of the respective borough.
- The Assembly Committee members are provided with a set of criteria developed by the CEC and the Participatory Budgeting Advisory Committee (PBAC) to ensure the projects address equity issues, and meet the needs that residents have surfaced in Phase 1.
- Committees will hold 6 meetings between January and February for members to discuss the projects. They will also work with CEC staff to gather information needed to clarify the ideas put forward.
