Project Description:

Our Dual Mentorship Program aims to focus on two important aspects of youth concern. The first is to provide professional mental health counseling to youngsters in need of it, particularly those adversely affected by Covid-19. In addition, we are developing career counseling and pairing of youth members with local professionals who are willing to foster the youth at their workplaces, providing them with hands-on experience and internships.

There is no doubt that many young people are in need of someone to talk to to get over this terrible time. Many are silently dealing with sickness themselves, death of family members or friends and BRCDC hopes to give support to those who might not have anyone to talk to. Many communities, particularly immigrant communities, downplay the importance of mental health, in particular with the youth. Engaging the youth with meaningful work through real life experiences and internships will give them an outlet as well as foster their future career goals.

Vote for BRCDC because we are aiming to tackle two major issues the youth face today: the need for mental health counseling and the tools needed to make you successful in your future careers! We are dedicated to continue this program all year round so that the youth have a voice and so that they can look forward to an amazing future!
