Project Description: 

Emoti-Con is New York City’s largest annual project fair for young designers, engineers, artists, gamers, programmers and multimedia storytellers. It seeks to engage young people, especially those from underrepresented communities such as Black and Latinx, in STEM and computer science through a fun and exciting hands-on learning environment.

Through their participation in Emoti-Con middle and high school students build a sense of belonging within a professional field or community, and get to collaborate and create with other young people from across New York City. They also get to practice their presentation skills and develop contacts with industry professionals who can serve as mentors and help them explore future career pathways.

By voting for Emoti-Con 2021, you will be expressing your support for science and technology education, which holds the key to many exciting and high-paying jobs in cutting-edge fields. Students pursuing technology careers have the opportunity to develop products of the future and make a profound impact on society.
