Self-Defense Education for Women
Malikah will be leading Self-Defense Education for Women, with certified facilitators providing expert-led classes to empower and protect participants.
Malikah plans to implement a multi-faceted engagement strategy ranging from leveraging local partnerships to hosting community events and workshops. We will partner with community-based organizations, local schools, religious institutions, and neighborhood groups within the TRIE neighborhoods.
MaMalikah applied to CEC’s Phase 4 Project Implementation to bring self-defense training to Washington Heights, responding to a strong community demand for practical safety tools. This project empowers women and marginalized groups, fostering resilience, confidence, and unity.
This project will empower Washington Heights residents—especially women and marginalized groups—by providing practical self-defense skills that boost safety, confidence, and resilience.
We look forward to collaborating with the community in Washington Heights and Inwood, and engaging the community based organizations to help bring a positive impact to the community.
