Idea Generation

From October 10th to November 19th residents can submit ideas for projects to address community needs.

11/20/2023 - 04/30/2024
Idea Development

Between January to February 2024, resident committees convene with subject matter experts to develop ideas into final project proposals to be placed on the ballots.

05/01/2024 - 06/16/2024
Citywide Voting

Between May and June 2024, New Yorkers will have the opportunity to vote on how to spend part of the city budget to address community needs. Residents will be able to vote online or in-person, in multiple languages, at sites across the five boroughs.

Project Implementation

The CEC will work closely with the implementing community based organizations ensure they are supported, projects are effectively monitored, and are completed successfully. All projects will be completed by June of 2025. The CEC will report back the results of the projects upon completion, including metrics such as the number of residents served, outcomes, highlights, successes and challenges.
