Describe the challenge you want to address:: We have levels of culture and history that are not fully acknowledged or celebrated. This leads people to feel disconnected.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:: A monument to 5 black sufragists who made Brooklyn a critical center of civil rights. Since they worked to promote democracy, the design process should be democratic.
