- Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
- The government should extend support to community centers to initiate three types of educational classes that cater to both senior residents and new immigrants, facilitating their access to job opportunities. 1) Basic English Language Classes (ESL): These classes would help individuals, especially new immigrants acquire essential English Language skills, which are crucial for job searching and integration into society. 2) Computer Technology Classes: Providing training in computer technology is essential for enhancing employment in today’s digital job market. These classes can help equip participants with vital computer skills like senior residents who are able to pay their utility bills, accessing their bank account. Schedule their medical and transportation appointments. And How to use social media. 3) Ethical and History Education Classes: These classes aim to educate the younger generation about cultural, ethnic and diversity, emphasizing the importance of respecting and understanding their culture and history. This approach can help reduce the disconnect of origin and culture with the youth in today’s society.
