Describe the challenge you want to address:: They have a challenge to accessing healthy foods for themselves and their children.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:: We are thinking of partnering with childcare centers where parents are dropping their children for daycare and offering cooking classes and fresh produce via a grant at those centers. They would also offer fitness classes such as yoga for the parents. There would also be healthcare testing such as testing for syphilis's diabetes etc. via drop in services. It would be a 9 month program with each month offering a different program. This would be a series of healthy living workshops for parents of children ages 0‐5. There would also be funding allocated to provide child care during these workshops so that parents can attend the classes.
